We just returned from a 2-week stay in Puerto Rico, 7 days of which we stayed at Roberto's Hidden Paradise. We rented the upstairs apartment for the 7 of us. I have to say that we were quite impressed when we arrived and thought it was better than we even expected from the internet. We had an absolutely wonderful time! We could not believe how great it was to have our own private beach. The dolphins and pelicans were terrific entertainment. Trini is a wonderful and gracious host who met us at the house and showed us around. I personally would much rather experience Puerto Rico this way than stay in the Hilton. We have no idea if we will ever be able to return, but if we do go back to PR, we would love to stay at Roberto's again. Thanks Trini!

The view of the mountains meeting the sea is so amazing.. We were very impressed by many awesome sunsets too.  We bought fresh fish and lobster down the beach at the fishing co-op and grilled them in the gazebo as we watched the many hues of color on the water and sky.  There were some of the most striking cloud formations.  Truly memorable!

The wrap-around verandah was great for early morning coffee and evening sunset watching.  When we weren’t out and about exploring the island, we spent most of our time in the gazebo.  What a beautiful spot to relax, read, sleep in a hammock, play dominoes, or just plain gossip with friends!  The best part was that from the gazebo, we could keep a close eye on our kids as they played on the beach or romped about the yard.

The house was very well equipped – we really lacked nothing and were able to start enjoying our vacation right from the get-go.  The air conditioning units upstairs were a welcome relief after long days away from the house – and they were so quiet, you hardly knew they were on..  You truly have done a great job making the house comfortable for us “finicky” guests

The Villa was great for our family reunion.  We did most of our group cooking upstairs and used the kitchen downstairs for snacks.  Mostly, we stocked the downstairs fridge full of beer and sodas.  It was a great set-up.  I think you may well be right in saying you offer the best rental value in the Caribbean .  From what we’ve seen, you definitely offer the best value in Puerto Rico .

We have had an absolutely peaceful and relaxing stay here.  We didn’t go out much as the villa offered almost everything we needed to be comfortable and get the much needed break from our hectic lives on the mainland. We have been to many Caribbean islands and found the people of your corner of Puerto Rico to be the friendliest we’ve found so far.  From the warm welcome that Trini gave us to the wonderful counter-girls at the bakery, the charming neighbors and all the warm and helpful people we met everywhere – we felt welcome at all times.  Don, who does your bookings was also very much helpful, both before the trip, filling us in on many details of the island and also during our stay.  When the washing machine broke, we called him in Washington DC and somehow he managed to have a new machine installed at the villa and running by the next afternoon (even on a Sunday). 

The first time I came here, seven years ago, I fell in love with “Roberto’s Hidden Paradise.”  I thought it was the perfect place to kick back and “recharge the batteries” with my husband, daughter and her son.  Every time I come back there are new improvements.  One year you added the back bathroom, the next a completely remodeled kitchen, next the new roof and rooftop terrace, then new mattresses windows and doors. Last year you added the two bedroom apartment which is just charming.  This year, my grandson was the most surprised with the basketball court and the cement table and benches.  You are to be commended for maintaining your property so well and for the constant improvements you make.  I am glad to have discovered you on the internet and it is so nice to know that when I come back, the villa will be well maintained and improved.
